About BaleCrafted

Scott Bale has worked as a carpenter on and off for over 40 years, as well as working in the corporate world for 19 years. His passion for woodworking came from both his grandfathers and his uncle. He received his first lathe when he was about 12 from his grandfather. He showed Scott the basics and he just ran with it. His passion for woodturning started to grow.
He is always looking for new shapes and ways to do turnings. Looking to see how he could glue pieces of wood together to see what kinds of patterns he could make. Some were successful and others were not. It was always fun, no matter how it came out. He has made all kinds of items over the years, vases, bowls, candlesticks, goblets, replacement parts for chairs, tables and so on. He has used solid logs and stacked wood, but mostly these days he does segmented turnings.
